A BODY CARE ROUTINE YOU’LL LOOK FORWARD TO EACH DAY
Most of us are used to following a certain number of routines each day; you might get up for school or work at the same time, eat breakfast at the same time and walk or drive the same route to school or work. We’re also familiar with personal hygiene routines, like washing our face and brushing our teeth in the morning and at night. You may be thinking that you already have a body care routine, but we’re here to share the ways you may consider elevating it.
What is a body care routine and why is it important? A body care routine is a set of steps you can take each day or every few days to support the overall health and well-being of your skin and your body. While it needn’t be complicated, there are some reasons why a proper body care routine is important:

- All skin types are different and require specialized care during times like seasonal or hormonal changes
- Having a proper body care routine can make you feel good about yourself and boost your confidence

BODY CARE ROUTINE STEP 1: CLEANSING IN THE BATH OR SHOWER
The first step in a body care routine, cleansing, gives you plenty of options. Some people prefer a traditional bar soap, others prefer a body wash formulation and others still choose something exfoliating and stimulating for the skin. As luck would have it, we offer all three!

BODY CARE ROUTINE STEP 2: HYDRATING POST BATH OR SHOWER
Another incredibly important step in any body care routine is restoring moisture to the skin. Did you know that even the act of bathing or showering, particularly in water that’s too hot, can strip the skin of its much-needed moisture? That’s why replenishing with a lotion or body butter, ideally when the skin is still damp, is so important to treat skin that’s dehydrated and depleted.
The biggest difference between lotion and body butter is water content. Lotion has more, making it a thinner and easier to spread formula while body butter has less, giving it the richer, thicker texture that needs a little more TLC to absorb into the body.
Tingle Mint foot and body lotion: we formulated this foot and body lotion to be both refreshing and revitalizing while also being hydrating and replenishing to the skin. If you’re not sure where to start when it comes to curating a natural body care routine, here are a few of our suggestions below:
- Start with one product at a time. Rather than doing a complete overhaul and throwing all your existing products in the garbage, (unnecessary and wasteful!) we recommend starting by replacing just one product at a time as you run out. First your hand soap, then your body wash and before you know it, you’re on your way to a clean and natural routine!
- Try different things until you know what you like. Experiment with both lotion and body butter or try natural deodorant as both a stick and a spray. We each have unique interests and preferences and you’ll never know which one might be for you until you try!
- Pay attention to your body. It’s ok to say that a product simply isn’t right for you. If your skin doesn’t readily absorb it, if you’re not sold on the scent or if you have any type of less-than-awesome experience, it’s ok to skip it and move along to the next product. Sometimes, we have to meet a few products we don’t love until we find those we do!
