Yes! Dermedial™ Eczema+ is safe for use from 6 months of age and up. It's accepted by the Eczema Society of Canada and recognized as free from known skin irritants like synthetic fragrance, steroids, dyes and colorants, so you can feel confident using it on even the most delicate skin.

Second, we've formulated with 5% Colloidal Oats, a dermatologist-recommended skin protectant and the key medicinal ingredient in our cream. Most products on the market contain just 1–2%. We wanted ours to be genuinely rich in this active, which works as an emollient to soothe irritated skin and helps form a barrier to lock in moisture.

We can’t guarantee that Dermedial™ Eczema+ cream is gluten-free, as gluten content is not routinely tested by our ingredient manufacturers or Saje. 

The formula contains oat-derived ingredients. While oats do not naturally contain gluten, they may come into contact with gluten-containing grains during processing, so trace amounts may be present. 

Current celiac guidance indicates that gluten is generally not absorbed through the skin unless applied to an open wound or skin lesion. If you have celiac disease, dermatitis herpetiformis, a known sensitivity or concerns about use, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider. 

Yes, and intentionally so. Essential oils are known irritants and a common trigger for eczema flares, which is why dermatologists often recommend avoiding them. Instead, we use other plant parts and lipid-rich plant oils like Marula, Kukui, and Chia, many of which are well-regarded for their skin-supportive benefits.
